Mitsubishi got the order of elevators for the highest building in China
Mitsubishi announced that they have already got the order of 106 sets of elevators for the highest building named “Shanghai Center Building” of 632 meters being built in China. Three of them have the highest speed all over the world with 1080 meters per minute. The building will be completed in 2014 and the delivery of the elevators will be finished successively in this autumn.
At present, the fastest elevator in Guinness World Record is in Taipei made by Toshiba with the speed of 1010 meters per minute. Mitsubishi Electric will apply for a new record for the new elevator.
It will cost only 55 seconds for the three elevators with the speed of 1080 meters per minute to go from underground 2nd floor to the 119th observation deck. These elevators adopt new technologies of low noise and low vibration operation and can reduce the earache and other discomfort feelings of the passengers through adjusting the air pressure changes.
